The Government of New Brunswick has selected a site for a new kindergarten-to-Grade 12 school in Shediac to address overcrowding issues. Located on Ohio Road next to Route 15, the new facility is set to replace Shediac Cape School and reduce pressure on Moncton High School. With a budget of $105 million, the school is designed to accommodate 930 students and includes various specialized rooms and community facilities. Construction is expected to begin this fall, with opening scheduled for January 2029.

Americold Realty Trust has started construction on a new cold storage facility in Saint John, New Brunswick. The project, valued at $75-$80 million, marks their expansion into Canada and is in partnership with DP World and Canadian Pacific Kansas City. The facility will offer 22,000 pallet positions to improve food distribution between Canada and global markets. Opportunities NB will support job creation with up to $1.01 million in payroll rebates and the project is expected to contribute significantly to the provincial GDP.
