Niagara region recreation facilities score $11M for upgrades

Ontario has announced a substantial investment of over $11.1 million to upgrade sport and recreation facilities in the Niagara region. The Chippawa Willoughby Memorial Arena will receive the majority of the funding, approximately $10 million, to introduce new features including a new NHL-sized ice pad and additional changerooms. These upgrades aim to enhance the functionality and accessibility of the facilities.

L'Ontario a annoncé un investissement de plus de 11,1 millions de dollars pour moderniser les installations sportives et récréatives de la région de Niagara. Une grande partie des fonds, environ 10 millions de dollars, sera consacrée à l'aréna Chippawa Willoughby pour y inclure notamment une nouvelle patinoire de taille NHL et des vestiaires supplémentaires. Ces améliorations visent à accroître l'efficacité et l'accessibilité des installations.
