New GO Station to Anchor Major Woodbine Mixed-Use Project

The Ontario government and Woodbine Entertainment have initiated the construction of a new Metrolinx GO station at Toronto’s Woodbine racetrack. Woodbine is investing $170 million to transform the area into a mixed-use urban center with plans for homes, jobs, and economic opportunities. The project will generate 43,000 construction jobs and include affordable housing. The new station will improve transit connections and increase capacity for various services, replacing the old Etobicoke North GO station.

Le gouvernement de l'Ontario et Woodbine Entertainment ont lancé la construction d'une nouvelle station Metrolinx GO à l'hippodrome de Woodbine à Toronto. Woodbine investit 170 millions de dollars pour transformer la région en un centre urbain à usage mixte, avec des plans pour des logements, des emplois et des opportunités économiques. Le projet créera 43 000 emplois dans la construction et inclura des logements abordables. La nouvelle station améliorera les connexions de transport et augmentera la capacité pour divers services, remplaçant l'ancienne station Etobicoke North GO.
