Ontario awards design contract for Garden City Skyway Bridge Twinning project

Infrastructure Ontario and the Ontario Ministry of Transportation have selected Skyway Bridging Partners for the development of the Garden City Skyway Bridge Twinning Project. This project involves designing a new four-lane bridge over the Welland Canal for Toronto-bound traffic while rehabilitating the existing bridge for Niagara-bound traffic. The development phase is expected to take around 19 months, followed by the potential construction of the new bridge. This expansion aims to secure vital trade routes, alleviate traffic congestion, and boost Ontario's economy.

Infrastructure Ontario et le ministère des Transports de l'Ontario ont choisi Skyway Bridging Partners pour le projet de doublement du Garden City Skyway. Ce projet prévoit la construction d'un nouveau pont à quatre voies en direction de Toronto et la réhabilitation du pont existant pour le trafic en direction de Niagara. La phase de développement devrait durer environ 19 mois, suivie potentiellement par la construction du nouveau pont. Cette expansion vise à sécuriser des routes commerciales vitales, réduire la congestion routière et stimuler l'économie de l'Ontario.
