A 100-unit affordable housing building for independent seniors will be constructed in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield through a partnership involving Quebec, Canada, the City, and Mission Unitaînés. The project is funded with CAD 22.5 million from provincial and federal governments, plus a CAD 500,000 philanthropic donation. Scheduled to open in spring 2027, the building will be managed by the Salaberry-de-Valleyfield Municipal Housing Office, as part of ongoing efforts to increase affordable housing for low-income seniors.
