Construction has begun on the expansion of the emergency department and renovation of the ambulatory care clinic at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in Renfrew County, Ontario. The project includes an $18.6 million investment by the Ontario government to expand the hospital by approximately 6,000 square feet. Once completed, the new facility will feature modern amenities such as a dedicated isolation room, a new ambulance entrance, and improved patient care areas. The construction is expected to be completed by March 2027, and the emergency department will remain operational throughout the process.
