La première centrale nucléaire du Kazakhstan sera construite par la Russie

Russia's Rosatom has been appointed as the main constructor for Kazakhstan's first nuclear power plant, a project also pursued by France, China, and South Korea. The Central Asian country, a key producer of uranium, seeks to address its electricity shortage through this project. While Rosatom will lead, Kazakhstan is exploring international financing options with Russia's support. The plant is to be built near the village of Ulken on the shores of Lake Balkhach.

Rosatom, géant russe du nucléaire, a été choisi pour construire la première centrale nucléaire du Kazakhstan, un projet également convoité par la France, la Chine et la Corée du Sud. Le Kazakhstan, premier producteur mondial d'uranium, vise à résoudre son manque d'électricité grâce à ce projet. Bien que Rosatom soit en tête, le Kazakhstan explore des financements internationaux soutenus par la Russie. La centrale sera bâtie près du village d'Ulken, au bord du lac Balkhach.
