New EPDs provide clear data on Canadian wood products

The Canadian Wood Council has released new Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for key Canadian wood products, including softwood lumber, OSB, plywood, trusses, and prefabricated wood I-joists. These EPDs offer transparent environmental data for the cradle-to-gate lifecycle, complying with international standards like ISO 21930 and ASTM. The declarations are intended to support sustainable decision-making in construction by providing credible, third-party verified environmental impact information. They are available through the Canadian Wood Council’s Digital Resource Hub.
