The redevelopment of Route 340 in Vaudreuil-Dorion and Saint-Lazare set to begin

The Government of Quebec has announced the $59 million redevelopment of Route 340, which serves Vaudreuil-Dorion and Saint-Lazare. This project, funded by the provincial Ministry, local infrastructure corporation, and the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion, aims to improve mobility in anticipation of the new Vaudreuil-Soulanges regional hospital. The redevelopment includes constructing roundabouts, improving intersections, and creating a multi-purpose track, with work beginning soon and continuing until 2028. The project addresses traffic and development issues in the growing area.

Le gouvernement du Québec a annoncé un projet de réaménagement de la Route 340, à hauteur de 59 millions de dollars, pour desservir Vaudreuil-Dorion et Saint-Lazare. Ce projet, financé conjointement par le ministère, la Société québécoise des infrastructures, et la Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion, vise à améliorer la mobilité avant l'ouverture du nouvel hôpital régional Vaudreuil-Soulanges. Le réaménagement comprend la construction de giratoires, l'amélioration d'intersections et la création d'une piste polyvalente, avec des travaux débutant prochainement et se poursuivant jusqu'en 2028.
