Kalesnikoff Opens North America’s First Mass Timber Prefab and Modular Plant

Kalesnikoff has launched North America's first mass timber prefabrication and modular plant in Castlegar, British Columbia. The 100,000-square-foot facility will support construction projects such as multi-storey housing, schools, and workforce accommodations. A total of $39.7 million was invested, involving contributions from the provincial and federal governments. The new plant complements the existing Kalesnikoff facility in South Slocan.

Ce site de 100 000 pieds carrés servira à des projets de construction comme des immeubles d'habitation, des écoles et des logements pour travailleurs. Un investissement total de 39,7 millions $ a été réalisé, avec l'appui financier des gouvernements provincial et fédéral. La nouvelle usine s'ajoute à celle que Kalesnikoff possède déjà à South Slocan.
