Invenergy and the Alliance de l’énergie de l’Est have secured $1.1 billion in financing for the development of the Pohénégamook-Picard-Saint-Antonin-Wolastokuk 1 (PPAW 1) Wind Energy Centre in Eastern Quebec. The project, chosen by Hydro-Québec, will be constructed between 2025 and 2026, creating 350 construction jobs and 100 manufacturing jobs. The financing involves multiple Canadian and international financial institutions and adheres to Green Loan Principles. This wind energy centre will add 350 MW to Quebec's local grid once operational.
