Bird Construction Inc. has been awarded a contract by Infrastructure Ontario and the Ministry of the Solicitor General to design and build expansions at three adult correctional facilities in Ontario. The projects aim to provide a safer environment for staff, increase capacity, and enhance services for individuals in custody. By utilizing modular construction and a streamlined procurement process, the expansion is expected to be completed faster than traditional methods. Construction will commence in 2026 with Infrastructure Ontario overseeing the projects.
